Concert in the Park: Ritual Azteca

The Bandon Public Library presents a free concert and dance event at 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, at the outdoor stage in Bandon City Park, 11th St. SW.

Ritual Azteca Huitzilopochtli features live music and authentic Aztec stories depicted in music and dance. Dancers will move to the rhythm of large standing huehuetl drums and ayoyote rattles. The symbolism of each dance is shared afterwards, and the audience is invited to use their imagination. After presenting several dance stories, the audience is invited to participate. Every participant is provided with an ayacaztli rattle and will learn some basic movements to fully participate in the ritual Azteca!

This concert in the park is presented by the Bandon Public Library. Admission is free and all ages are welcome. The program lasts approximately one hour. For more information, contact library staff at 541-347-3221.
