The Footbridge

As the veil lifts between the worlds, two women meet near the bridge that changed everything. Written by Jeanmarie Simpson, “The Footbridge” is a one act play directed by Danielle Owens, performed by Amber Burg and Jessica Burg.

Show time is 7 p.m. on Friday, June 27.

This play includes mature themes, and / or strong language, and is recommended for teen and adult audience members.

Admission $10

This performance is part of the 2025 Bandon Fringe Festival. All performances are at the Sprague Community Theater, 1202 11th St. SW, in Bandon City Park.

Jeanmarie Simpson is a prolific and critically acclaimed playwright and theater genius whose work has been called “potent [and] enduring” by Upstage Left Press. Ms. Simpson has generously written “The Footbridge” for Bandon’s own Amber and Jessica Burg, which will debut at Bandon’s first annual Fringe Festival.

Danielle Owens has performed on stage in Chicago and St. Louis, along with video and voiceover work. Danielle’s first Bandon performance was in the role of Chick in the 2025 Bandon Playhouse production of “Crimes of the Heart.” She is delighted to return to the theater, her first love.

After a multi-decade hiatus from acting, Amber Burg made her Bandon Playhouse debut in the role of Lenny in the 2025 production of “Crimes of the Heart.” Growing up in the little town of Virginia City, NV, Amber knows first hand how important the arts are for small communities. She thanks you for supporting this theater.

Jessica Burg’s theater credits include the role of Babe in the 2025 Bandon Playhouse production of “Crimes of the Heart” and stage hand for the 2024 “A Christmas Story” production. She is a rising junior at Bandon High School where she participates in band, choir and the BHS Speech and Debate team.
