Save the Date! The Diary of Anne Frank

Bandon Playhouse is pleased to present “The Diary of Anne Frank.” The play opens Friday, March 6, 7 p.m. at the Sprague Community Theater in Bandon City Park. Additional evening performances are at 7 p.m. on March 7 and 14, with matinee performances at 2 p.m. on March 8, 14 and 15.

Based on the autobiographical book “The Diary of a Young Girl,” this powerful new stage adaptation by Wendy Kesselman presents the historic figure of Anne Frank as a living, lyrical, intensely gifted girl. She confronts her rapidly changing life and the increasing horror of her time with honesty, wit and determination. An impassioned drama about the lives of eight people hiding in a concealed attic space during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands, “The Diary of Anne Frank” captures the claustrophobic realities of their daily existence – their fear, their hope, their laughter, their grief.
