Movie Matinee: Singin’ in the Rain

One of the most enduring movie musicals– Musician Don Lockwood rises to stardom during Hollywood’s silent-movie era, paired with co-star Lina Lamont, and would-be star Kathy Selden. Set in the early days of “talkies,” this film’s classic song-and-dance numbers celebrate the dawn of movie musicals.

The “Singin’ in the Rain” cast includes Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor, Debbie Reynolds, Jean Hagen and Millard Mitchell, directed by Stanley Donen. The film is rated G. Run time is 1 hour, 43 minutes.

Show time is 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, at the Sprague Community Theater. Admission is $5. Concessions are also available for purchase.
