Corrie Gant is a well-known local performer, playwright and producer who received advanced training at Dell’Arte School of Mask, Mime and Comedy. She went on to perform physical comedy across Texas and Ontario. Since returning to Bandon, she has contributed her work to many local events and fundraisers. Most recently, Corrie has been seen in Bandon Playhouse productions of “Radium Girls,” “Coquille River Anthology,” and “Crimes of the Heart.” She is also a member of the Bandon Playhouse board of directors.

Dr. Annie McGregor earned her PhD in Theatre from the University of Oregon. While teaching at Purdue she developed a new Masters program in dramaturgy. Later, at Penn State, she was in charge of the nationally recognized THEA 100 experience, in addition to acting and directing in regional theatres. She is excited to be working with her old pal Corrie Gant on “Tales From the Kitchen Table.”
The post Tales from the Kitchen Table first appeared on Bandon Events.

Wearing tattered vests, our local Border Morris Dance troupe offers high energy dances with a bold knacking of staves and ringing of bells.

One of the world’s leading bubble-ologists, Louis began in 1980 by making, demonstrating, and selling a toy called the Bubble Trumpet on a street corner in Berkeley, California. Eventually, his toy company had 147 products with international manufacturing and distribution.

But Louis found that he preferred playing with the toys over selling them. He sold Tangent Toys in 2002. Since then he has been touring the world, performing hundreds of shows every year. Learn more at AmazingBubbleMan.com.

More . . .

Susan Dimock is a Bandon based photographer with a passion for photographing all things oceanic. A retired licensed clinical social worker, she describes her transition from therapist to nature photographer as an awakening that has brought healing, solace and joy. In the last decade-plus, Susan has published work digitally and presented many print exhibits. She is excited to release her first book, “Taking Refuge on the Oregon Coast.” Learn more about Susan’s work at SusanDimockPhotography.com.

Lori Catlin moved to Oregon from Colorado in 2021 with her husband Brad. She is a mother of three and grandmother of four. She enjoys spending time with her kids and grandchildren. Living in Bandon has given her a sense of “being home.” Lori is pleased to return to the Sprague Community Theater stage following her debut performance in the Bandon Playhouse summer 2024 “Gala.”

Melissa Cribbins is an attorney and Tribal Court Chief Judge in Coos Bay. She grew up in Coos County, and feels that this is the place that her soul has always called home. She and her husband, Troy, have raised three children on the south coast, and she and her family believe in supporting and giving back to the community.

Jane Suppes has been a Coos Bay local for over 20 years. She has been an active musician for most of that time, accompanying many on piano. Jane has also taken part in theatre productions, playing at various churches, and jazz combos. She and her partner Michael enjoy spending time in nature, creating mixed media art, and playing chess.

Geneva Miller is a performing arts and education enthusiast who enjoys emergent creative projects. For more than two decades, she has been privileged to work with artists and performers at all ages and stages of life in Oregon’s Coos and Curry counties. Geneva is grateful to Susan Dimock and the cast of “Drawing Stories from Nature” for embracing this book-to-stage collaboration.
The post Drawing Stories from Nature first appeared on Bandon Events.
