Women’s Health Day is a free annual event presented by Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center and the Southern Coos Health Foundation and sponsored by generous community individuals and businesses. Over the past 22 years, Women’s Health Day has focused on healthcare-related topics that are relevant to women, encouraging them to feed their minds, bodies and spirits.

This year’s theme is “Finding Your Balance: Hormones, Mindfulness, and Health” with returning keynote speaker Dr. Neil Nathan. Autumn Mercer, MSN, FNP-C, AGNP-C of EmpowerHer Health Collaborative will make her presentation debut.

Women’s Health Day is an annual event presented by Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center and the Southern Coos Health Foundation and sponsored by generous community individuals and businesses. Over the past 22 years, Women’s Health Day has focused on healthcare-related topics that are relevant to women.

This year’s topic is “THRIVE – A Holistic Approach to Physical & Financial Health.” Keynote speaker is Dr. Neal Nathan, M.D. Dr. Nathan has been practicing medicine for over 50 years, has been Board Certified in Family Practice and Pain Management, and is a Founding Diplomate of both the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine and the International Society for Environmental and Applied Immunology.

Darkness to Light is a free sexual abuse prevention program that educates adults to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child abuse. Free pizza will be served, and free childcare is available at Ocean Crest Elementary School.

Women’s Health Day is an annual event held by the Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center and Southern Coos Health Foundation. Over the past 16 years, Women’s Health Day has focused on health-related topics that are relevant to women. This year’s focus will be mental and emotional wellness.

Admission is free. Tickets are not required but we do ask that you register at southerncoos.org/womenshealthday.

Women’s Health Day is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, at the Bandon Community Center. Breakfast starts at 8:30 a.m.
