The Wild Rivers Land Trust and Bandon Public Library present an Eco-Film Fest on Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Sprague Community Theater.

Come for one, two or three nature themed films. This free public event starts at noon.

A River’s Last Chance @ 12:00 PM

Shane Anderson tells the story of how the Eel River in Northern California was saved from decades of over fishing, abusive logging, floods and droughts, and a hydro dam. The key is the belief in living symbiotically.

Charlie and the Curious Otters @ 1:30 PM

From the PBS Nature series by Charlie Hamilton James: Experience the secrets to otter survival.

Run Wild Run Free @ 2:45 PM

Shane Anderson takes an historic view of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act which has saved hundreds of America’s iconic rivers and streams from dams, over-development and natural resource extraction.

Admission is free, and refreshments will be available for purchase. Bring your friends and family. The event is suitable for adults, young adults and families with children 8 and older. For more information, contact the Bandon Public Library, 541-347-3221.
The post Eco-Film Fest first appeared on Bandon Events.
