DESCRIPTION:In September\, 1923\, Bandon was rocked by the sudden death of a healthy young wife and mother named Ebba Covell. The ensuing investigation exposed a tangle of lies\, manipulation\, and occultism\, all from the twisted mind of a most improbable suspect. The shocking details and subsequent trial gripped newspaper readers around the world. \nCrafted from actual articles\, testimony\, and court documents\, the play “Murder at Two Mile: A True Bandon Mystery” details the complex crime that still fascinates more than a century later. \nShow time is 5 p.m. on Sunday\, June 28. \nThis presentation includes mature themes\, and / or strong language\, and is recommended for teen and adult audience members. \nAdmission $11.50 \nThis performance is part of the 2026 Bandon Fringe Festival. All performances are at the Sprague Community Theater\, 1202 11th St. SW\, in Bandon City Park. \nTickets are available for individual performances\, or purchase a Fringe Festival Pass for all shows. The cast for the 2026 Bandon Fringe Festival includes actors with a range of professional and community theater experience\, now based in Coos and Curry counties. The readers include original Gaels members Corrie Gant\, Amy Moss Strong\, and Mike Dempsey\, joined by Nameer El-Kadi and Grant Goodwin. \nPlaywright Neal Davis has created several theatrical works based on local history with the assistance of the Bandon Historical Museum\, including “Bandon Burns!” and “Coquille River Anthology.” \n“Murder at Two Mile” runs approximately 45 minutes and is presented in readers theater format.
