Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the class you wish to attend. Bootcamp classes start at 9:30 a.m. with “Theater for Dummies” led by Corrie Gant. “Improv. and Acting” class begins at 10:30 a.m.\, led by Mike Dempsey. Bring your own brown bag lunch for break time from 12 to 12:30 p.m. The day wraps with “Movement and Mime\,” led by Nameer El-Kadi\, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. \nAdmission is $10 for new or returning Bandon Playhouse members (includes Playhouse membership) or $5 for active members. DESCRIPTION:April 27 Update: This event has been postponed. \n\nHarbor Lights Middle School is pleased to present a marimba concert at 6 p.m. on Thursday\, April 28. \nVenue Change: This concert will be presented at the Harbor Lights Middle School gymnasium\, 390 9th St SW\, in Bandon. \nThe performance will feature three HLMS marimba band ensembles showcasing music in a variety of styles from Zimbabwean style music to pieces by contemporary composers and popular music arranged for marimba. The event is also an opportunity to share appreciation for all past donors along with those who have helped repair and maintain the school’s marimba collection. \nAdmission is free\, but donations are gratefully accepted to support the marimba instrument collection\, including new mallets and marimbas. Show time is 3 p.m. Saturday\, October 17. \nAt the show\, enjoy a cameo appearance by MarLo dancers and learn about fundraising opportunities to benefit the dance studio scholarship program. \n“Leap!” (Spyglass Media Group 2016) is an animated action adventure. When best friends Felicie and Victor make a break from an orphanage in the French countryside\, they have a plan: Escape to Paris where Felicie can study dance with the Paris Opera Ballet and Victor can become a world-class inventor. \nThe film features voice acting by Elle Fanning\, Nat Wolff\, Maddie Ziegler\, Carly Rae Jepsen\, and Mel Brooks. “Leap!” is 1 hour\, 30 minutes\, rated PG. Concessions will be available for purchase at the snack bar. \nThis event is sponsored by Easlon Construction and Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. Admission at the door is $5 per person. \nTheater seating is limited. Sweet refreshments will be served. \nAdmission is $5 for students and $10 for adults. Tickets are available at the door or in advance from team members. Sweet Speeches events raise funds for the team’s tournament travel expenses\, including meals and lodging.
