DESCRIPTION:Bandon Playhouse is pleased to announce auditions for “Nunsense” the musical. \nAuditions are Saturday\, May 9\, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Sprague Community Theater with callbacks on May 16. \nThose auditioning for stage roles are invited to prepare 16 bars of an up-tempo musical theater piece\, or a pop/country song. There will also be a small dance audition. Remember to wear comfortable clothing and shoes to dance in. \n“Nunsense!” It’s Habit Forming! A hilarious farce about a convent of Nuns staging a fundraiser to enable them to bury the last four nuns of their order who were accidentally poisoned by the convent cook\, Sister Julia (child of God). The Little Sisters of Hoboken (well\, what’s left of them) put on this riotous revue packed with hilarious\, show-stopping song and dance numbers\, and it always proves to be a crowd favorite. \nRehearsals for the show begin in June. Performances are two weekends\, August 7\, 8\, 9\, and 14\,15\,16\, 2026. \nBandon Playhouse has provided the best in community theater\, from classic plays and musicals to premiere works by new playwrights\, since 1976. Dancing toys\, mischievous mice\, waltzing flowers and sparkling snowflakes dance to Tchaikovsky’s sumptuous score. The 2025 production opens Saturday\, Dec. 6\, with four additional performances at the Sprague Community Theater in Bandon\, Oregon. \nThis Christmas classic tells the story of Clara and her magical Nutcracker Prince as they embark on a thrilling adventure. MarLo Dance Studio bi-annually rings in the Christmas season with a family-friendly version to captivate audience members of all ages. MDS’s lavish scenery and costumes makes this ballet a family favorite. \nGuest dancer Hadassah Slater joins the performance as the delicate\, twirling Sugar Plum Fairy. Hadassah is an alumna of MarLo and company member of Ballet Fantastique\, based in Eugene\, Oregon. \n“The Nutcracker” runs two weekends\, opening with 3 p.m. matinees on December 6 and 7. A second weekend of performances is December 12\, 13\, 14. Performance times are 7 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. \nTickets\nAdmission is $25 in advance or $30 at the door. DESCRIPTION:Bandon Open Stage invites you to our next variety show at 3 p.m. on Saturday\, November 15\, at the Sprague Community Theater. \nThe Bandon Open Stage program is a platform for area residents of all ages and skill levels (including presenters with disabilities) to perform on stage. Our performers share their passion and talents in the free-form performing arts of all sorts: instrumental music\, songs (both original and covers)\, comedy\, poetry\, stories\, dance\, and anything they wish. It is our third year of showcasing local talent on the theater’s stage. \nAdmission \n$10 – single\n$15 – couple\n$20 – family \nTickets can be purchased at the door. Additional donations are welcomed and greatly appreciated!
