Phases 1A\, 1B\, including Group 7\, which includes frontline workers and adults 18-45 with underlying medical conditions\, are now eligible for vaccinations. Previously eligible groups still qualify\, including those age 65 and older\, health professionals\, care givers and school district employees. \nBeginning April 5\, Group 7 will be able to receive the vaccine. DESCRIPTION:Southern Coos Hospital and Health Center will hold a Community COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic on Monday\, April 5\, 2021\, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.\, at the Bandon Community Center. \nVaccine supply is limited\, and advance registration is required. \nRegistration\nRegister Online with the Block It Now app \nCall the Southern Coos COVID-19 Hotline: 541-329-1032 \nVisit the Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center website \nEligibility\nThe Oregon Health Authority has expanded vaccine eligibility to more residents. Previously eligible groups still qualify\, including those age 65 and older\, health professionals\, care givers and school district employees. \nBeginning April 5\, Group 7 will be able to receive the vaccine. Those eligible in that group include: \n• Frontline workers as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention\n• Individuals living in multigenerational households\n• Adults ages 16 to 44 with one or more underlying health condition with increased risk \nA frontline worker is someone who has a job that puts them at higher risk for contracting COVID-19 because of regular close contact with others outside of their household (less than six feet); routine (more than 15 minutes) close contact with others outside of their household; and they are not able to perform their job duties from home or another setting that limits the close or routine contact with others outside their household. \nMultigenerational household means a household where people from three or more generations live\, such as a home where an elder lives with a parent and grandchild; or those 50 years and older residing with and caring for a relative who is not their own child (i.e. a grandchild\, niece or nephew). \nAdditional eligibility now includes adults ages 45 to 64 with one or more underlying conditions as well as several subgroups. For a complete list of subgroups\, please visit the CDC website. \n• Migrant and seasonal farm workers\n• Seafood and agricultural workers\n• Food processing workers\n• People living in low-income\, senior\, congregate and independent living facilities\n• Sheltered and unsheltered individuals experiencing houselessness\n• People displaced by wildfires\n• Wildland firefighters\n• Pregnant people 16 and over \nUnderlying health conditions with increased risk as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC): \n• Cancer\n• Chronic kidney disease\n• COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)\n• Down Syndrome\n• Heart conditions\, such as heart failure\, coronary artery disease\, or cardiomyopathies\n• Immunocompromised state (weakened immune system) from solid organ transplant or HIV\n• Obesity (BMI greater than or equal to 30 kg/m2)\n• Pregnancy\n• Sickle cell disease\n• Type 2 diabetes mellitus \nMore Information \nPlease visit our News Section to learn about community vaccine events and waitlists\, as well as vaccine safety and efficacy information from Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center.

DESCRIPTION:Free drive-through COVID-19 testing is available by appointment at the Bandon Community Center on Tuesday\, Feb. 9\, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This testing event is presented by Coast Community Health Center in partnership with the Oregon Health Authority. \nEach individual should register in advance. The test is a quick and pain-free self administered nasal swab. DESCRIPTION:Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center will offer COVID vaccinations on Saturday\, February 6\, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bandon Community Center. \nEligible Participants\nVaccination services are free and limited to tiers 1a and 1b\, healthcare workers and educators\, as defined by the Oregon Health Authority. Registrants must be eligible for a COVID vaccination as defined by OHA. \nTier 1a is comprised of healthcare workers\, including staff at hospitals\, skilled nursing and memory care facilities\, and caregivers. For a comprehensive list of those eligible in Tier 1a\, visit the Oregon Health Authority vaccination web page. \nTier 1b is comprised of childcare providers\, early learning and K-12 staff\, and educators and staff. \nAs more vaccines become available\, SCHHC will be adding additional events to vaccinate people in other groups. \nRegister Online or By Phone\nAdvance registration is highly encouraged\, and additional information will be provided through the registration process. \nRegister online with Eventbrite -or- \nCall SCHHC\, 541-329-0154 ext. 206. \nParticipants will need to remain masked and observe social distancing protocols. The community center is ADA accessible\, however\, those who are unable to wear a face covering or enter the community center due to a disability or COVID restrictions may request the vaccination administered in their vehicle.
